Deleting your Nerida Health account
Last updated 27 September 2026
In the app (any account: patient, physician, dentist, assistant or carer)
- On the web: Settings → Delete Account.
- In the mobile app: More → Delete your account.
You will be asked to confirm it is you. If your account is suspended, the deletion option is still shown when you sign in.
What happens next
- Your account closes at once and you are signed out everywhere.
- If your account was ever connected to a clinician or another person, you have 14 days to change your mind. Sign in during that time and choose Restore my account on the web, or Keep my account in the mobile app, to cancel. After 14 days the deletion is final.
- If your account was never connected to anyone, it may be closed straight away, without the 14 days, and then cannot be restored.
- You can start and cancel deletion at most twice in 30 days.
- Clinicians: cancel or complete upcoming confirmed appointments first. Your patients are told that you have left.
What is deleted
Your sign-in details, profile and contact information. Information you entered about yourself is deleted unless the law requires it to be kept. If you use private backup, its key is destroyed when the deletion becomes final.
What is kept, and why
- Draft, under legal review Clinical records are kept for the period the law of the country where the care took place requires. They stay read-only.
- Draft, under legal review If a record is under a legal hold, for example because of a legal claim, it is kept until the hold ends, even after the normal retention period.
- Messages you sent stay in the conversation, shown as from a “Deleted account”. Their content is removed only through an approved deletion request or when the retention period ends.
- When a clinician deletes their account, Nerida Health keeps the records they wrote, sealed. Nobody can open them except under a legal process, and their patients can still read their own health information.
- Draft, under legal review We keep a permanent record that the deletion happened. It holds no health information.
Deleting your account does not delete the account of anyone you help or who helps you.
Asking your clinician to delete clinical records
This is a separate request. Your clinician reviews it and must give a reason if they decline. In the app: Data & privacy in the menu on the web, or More → Privacy and account rights in the mobile app.
If you cannot sign in, or do not have an account
Write to privacy@neridahealth.com. You do not need to sign in to send the request. We will confirm who you are before acting. Access to an email address alone is never enough to open or delete an account. If you can still use the app, we will ask you to confirm the request there.
